I have been ripping and burning DVD's to CD-R for a while without a problem. Recently, when playing back the SVCD it appears choppy with blocks on the playback. I even hear squeals from the audio. I have used dvd2vi to create the d2v file and tmpg to convert to mpeg. Could it be my burner (cd-rw) is going on me and I need to invest, ( sob, sob) in another one, and if I do, since I want to treat myself for the holidays, what is the best dvd burner on market?
