From what I've read the modbo is a matrix infinity clone, therefore, holding the start button down on boot might disable it. I havnt played on my ps2 for a very long time, so not sure if holding the start button is correct for disabling the infinity.

I have the infinity (which is having probs atm so I made a thread about it 5 seconds ago lol) and yes you hold start button upon boot to disable the chip, then reset the console. TO activate the infinity put the console to standby then reset.

Could you be a little more specific? I hold the start button on my controller down when I turn the PS2 on, then reset once it enters the game, but the chip is still activated.

While powering up your ps2, make sure your holding down the start button for 5-10 seconds, it should say DISABLED in bold. That means the chip is now disabled. You can now play games online.

To Re-activate the chip, simply put the ps2 in standby, and turn it on again, and the chip should work again.

Ok.

I have disables the chip and succesfully bypassed the DNAS authentication. Now, when it gets to connecting, ANOTHER error comes up reading (-612) DNAS ERROR and something about network settings. I came to the conclusion that my network settings are incorrect so I need some help setting them up properly (obviously I can't).

Here are some details:

. I use a Category 6 Ethernet Cable and plug it directly from my PS2 to the ADSL modem supplied by OptusNet.

. I don't need a password to access the internet, so I select NO and go on to select Auto and Auto for IP adress and DNS settings.

. I use the default name 'Setting 1' and test the connection, which is a success.

So I go into the game, connect succesfully, get into the network (which takes quite a while), pass the DNAS authentication then get (-612) DNAS ERROR on my screen.

Please help!

Almost forgot to say...

I am not using the network setup disc used to set up a connection.

I am doing it through the PS2 game Champions of Norrath.

I'm not really sure if this makes a difference, but please say if it does because I will try get a network disc sent over.
