thanks for giving me the links..

"Here is, 3 free programs for you:
You can use DVD Flick, a very good free program:

http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/552742

Any_Video_Converter is free also . Here is the link. Make sure you get the right download
http://www.any-video-converter.com/products/for_video_free/ for the website

direct link download http://www.any-video-converter.com/any-video-converter-free.exe the download link

You can also use Super , also a free converter. Super allows more options then AVC, like the output size and codecs used. http://www.erightsoft.com/SUPER.html New users might find Super "too complicated". Is not really. I would start with DVD Flick.
...and burn with Nero. "

im still confused.. im new in converting files.. sorry about that..
pls correct me if i understand it wrong.. i can you use any one program to convert the files to dvd player readable...

That is correct, you can use any o the three programs. One of the link I gave you is a setp-by-step guide for DVD Flick.

Unless you buy a Ferrari, 10% discount is like pee in a pond, IMHO. Everyone has his prefferences when using all the software available out there, but the 3 freebies do about anything you need regarding conversion. Add AutoGK for making Avi-Divx form your DVDs, and you're set for conversion.

Yeah, can't agree any more, 10% is almost nothing but better than nothing :)

It depends on how fast is your PC; do you do the conversion in one pass or 2 pass-"best Quality".
I don't know about RMVB, I haven't tried that one in DVD Flick.

Piss me off, and I Will ignore You!

Listen to Cyprus.. DVDFlick is in most cases as good or better than most commercial software out there and has most if not all the same features.

chincpn:
DVDFlick is a one-click transcoding tool, it converts, authors and burns; it does it all. Typically on average quality settings with a full-length film it will take around 1 and a half to 2 hrs to convert and burn. On maximum quality settings it can take 3 hrs.

Don't be so concerned with time, if you want good quality than be patient.. if you have the time to come and post on AfterDawn than you can wait ;)
