sorry i'm new to this. i have read through and am still having problems. i am using good yuden media and i have a tsst samsung burner. i'm not sure but i think the problem might be the burner? it does support +/-R but not does not support book type changing. My media is dvd -R panasonic DVD Ident gives the reading TYG02 Taiyo Yuden. i have one of the old fat front eject ps2 and am trying to burn a swap magic 3 disk. Sorry to ask but I have looked and have already ruined alot of good disks.

you should've stopped when you first got the swapmagic iso.

you CANNOT run a copied swapmagic. you need an original swapmagic disc. the only way to boot the copied swapmagic is with a modchip, but having a modchip defeats the purpose of swapmagic.

ps2: v7 scph-39001 - independence exploit - hdloader 0.8c - maxtor 300gb hdd
(+[__]%) psp slim ta-085v1: 6.60 PRO B10
wii (powered by bootmii/priiloader): 4.1u - d2x v10beta53-alt (base 56) - configurable usb loader v70r51/devolution r188 - wd scorpio black 7200rpm 320gig w/ ams venus ds2 enclosure

got a whole lot more to list . . .

OK I was wondering about that. I wanted to see if I could burn a working ps2 game before i bought a mod chip and invested the time and risk of taking this old ps2 apart and installing it. So my question is in theory my discs should work w/ a mod chip with the before mentioned hardware. I'm leery on the whole thing cause this is a laptop first off and I have had past experience (ie the original ps) with sony's protection methods. So you think it'll work? and I thank you for your help!
