I have ripped a number of DVD's and converted them into divx format, but I am having trouble with Sex and the City. The first episode actually worked pretty well, it came all on one VOB file, but the 2nd is spread over 2 different files, with different video encoding settings and audio encoding settings. I can open the first type in tmpge 2.57.. and I get both audio and video, but when I open the 2nd, I only get video (albeit video that has different settings ... bottom field first instead of top field first like the first vob file.) Also the interlace method switches from bob to weave... or something like that. I figured they did this to try and make it difficult to backup, but I'm trying to figure out how to convert the 2nd one. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

How can I find out why the 2nd vob file has no compatable audio stream? I know it's there.. because power dvd will play it back in file mode.
