This is a new problem; I have always been able to copy cds before.
I?ve tried to copy two new audio (cd) books onto cds using Nero 6 or Windows Media, they copy to about 60% to 74% and then stop. The cds play fine, and I cleaned them and had the same result. I ran the simulation on Nero and it went fine but they still will not copy all the way through. I've tried both to copy it to the c drive, cd to cd, I've tried different copy speeds....
I copied a music cd and that worked and it writes my document back up copies just fine.
My brother copied a couple with Nero 8, but I?m reluctant to run out and buy 8, has something changed and I need new burning software? Or is it likely some other problem, since Windows Media won?t copy them either?
the only general pc problem I know of is a message about a 80 channel connector since installing a new hard drive, but everything else works fine and I've read about problems with CD writers and the 80 channel connector so I've been reluctant to do anything with that... not extremely tech-able.
I have XP home, and plenty of RAM
