My buddy hates me.
I have M33-4 on my slim and he wants it on his PSP Phat...really bad.

It's a phat and only has oeSony FW 2.60. Now since i just crashed my Slim over the weekend I had made a slim Pandoras Battery (which I can not use on his) and a jigkick magic MS. My question is...

I've read the guides and how to's on here, but i'm curious. Do you still need a Pandoras Battery to install CFW on a Phat PSP? Or can you just use the jigkick MS?
I ask because I'm in Michgan and he's in California...I'm about to go back and visit all my friends for a week so i figured if it's that easy i'd pack my jigkick MS and hook him up.

I see nothing there that answers your question...

Anyway, at 2.60 he can upgrade to 2.71 and use the 2.71 Downgrader to get to 1.50, then go up to CFW, he doesn't need a game or anything, just the downgrader software on his MS, why hasn't he realised this already if he's so desperate to downgrade?

LOL
because he's kind of a dimwit when it comes to the programing/tech side of stuff. But plays A LOT of games. Kinda like a race car driver. He can race a car like a God...but couldn't tell you where a spark plug goes in the engine.

So your saying i could just downgrade for him then follow the install guides and install M33-4 all without even having a pandoras battery in his unit at all?

Hi...Rorro Rey Here...:)

And use your slim to downgrade his phat...i've use this guide many times and its pretty simple...and its also the one i told you to use when we recovered your SLIM....;)

Haha, you think highly of him then? :P

OK, since you've got the Pandora Battery, it would be easiest to use that, though, if you just tell him to use the 2.71 downgrader he might be able to do it himself. Do note that it could brick your PSP (about a 5% chance), but then you could fix it with the Pandora anyway.

I might be off target here so if so please correct me. :-)

If his SLIm is already on CFW could he not make a UPMS stick, use the UPMS on his mates Phat and go straight to 3.71 M33?

I used one and went from 2.01 straight to 3.71 M33 with 2 clicks.

PsP#1 : 2.01>3.71M33-4>3.80 M33-5
PsP#2 (Slim) : 3.80>3.90M33-2 All hail the UPMS Stck
If you need a UPMS Stick go here and then go here :-) *As recommended by January39
