Hi

I'm having problems with tmpgenc 2.57. I rip with smart ripper and test the vob files with power dvd. All works fine.
I then try to open them in tmpgenc(to convert to VCD). It opens but doesn't rip the whole file. It the length of one vob is around 30-40min, it only converts 1-5minutes of the file. But if the file is 4-6 minutes(a music video for example), it converts the whole file.
Why does this happen? I've tried other versions of tmpegenc and same results. I've read your DVD 2 VCD guide. Since DVD2AVI takes quite long, i thought of trying it this way(directly). Small files work....so why not large files? Is it a bug or something?
Can u please help?
Thanks..
sokristi

Use DVD2AVI to produce a project file (not an AVI!)and demux the sound only. Then convert the resulting .AC3 sound file to wav with another tool (I use Headac3he). This takes me some 20-30 minutes in total (P4 1.8 Ghz, 512 MB of mem.) Doing it this way has proven useful to me, sound is always in sync with the video.
