PSP making a faint Clicking sound and wont play games

Hi, sorry if this is in the wrong place or has been covered somewhere else

I am having problems with my psp, my psp wont play umds but will still do eveything else.

It was living in my college bag then it when missing it my room for a week or so then when i found it it work for one game then the next day it would play any games, it sounds like the eye is searching the umd but cant flind anything, also there is a faint clicking, i tryed updating to 3.73 but no luck.

I can remember what year i got my psp so i think it is out of warrenty, if you have any ideas can you please help, thank you.

sorry it means ur psp lens is not working. u can check whether ur psp lens is working or not. open the umd door. u can see a small button inside the umd door where lens is. on ur psp and hold the button. if ur psp lens shows red colour it means ur lens is damaged if not then its ok. all u need to clean it out with a soft tissue paper.
