I started off with 3.40 oe firmware and was playing my homebrew games just fine. I hear about 3.71 M33: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/580254 and i decide to upgrade. I turn my spare battery into a Pandora and downgrade my 3.40 oe onto 1.50 using Hellcats downgrader then i upgraded to 3.71 M33 using Jokers upgrader. everything seemed fine until I tryed to play my hombrew games. it kept saying "game could not be started 80020148"
heres what ive done so far:
01 in recovery mode - changed the UMD mode to no-Umd
02 in recovery mode - changed game folder to 1.50/3.71 kernal
03 in recovery mode - everything in the advanced config was already disabled
04 in usb mode - created a Game150 folder and put the games in there
I can play iso's and psx games just fine but when it comes to hombrew games (witch i play more often) it comes up with the error. I'm completely stumped on what to do now please help!!!!!

first download the 1.5 kernel addon v2 and 3.71 m33-4 from www.dark-alex.org .then extract the archives and place them in PSP\GAME folder of the MS.u also need 1.5 update file renamed to 150 and place it in the root of th MS.If u hav trouble post a reply.i will guide u through.
For some app u need kernel addon -2.But you don't need it for all app.I tried a lot of app and it worked on my cfw enabled PSP 3.71 m33-3 and update 4 without kernel addon.

to be honest man real psp games have been lackin lately. no matter how much hype they put over it i still find myself getting bored with them after 15 mins, but there are some homebrew games out there that are fun as hell. no matter how corny or cheap they look i still love playing them. its kinda like playing those cheap flash animation games on newgrounds.com. just to know some random guy was able to create it on his own makes it more enjoyable
you're perfectly right, the good iso/cso games were hacked lately after the psp was created, at first the homebrew games were running on the scene, but now i found more interesting playing Sony games

i'd got problem with playing iso/cso in 3.71 M33-2 and i'd just following instruction to disabled the advanced config.. but.. it still didn't work though..
but, after i enabled one of the feature.. (i forget the name.. maybe play boot.ini in ISO/UMD) i've got
all things work now..
anybody now about this case one?
note: strange, i've just have 2 feature in my advanced config.. since everybody say that there are 3 features shown in advanced config..
