My psp currently has system software : 3.10 OE-A' , but it will not play normal umd games that are bought , so i am wondering how i can get my system software back to normal so i can play games on my psp just like how it was when you originally buy the psp.

noramlly it should work unless the game requires a higer firmware (system software). upgrade to 3.71 M33

I have tried installing new system software but wen i go to install it on the game menu it says game cannot be started , help please.

I have no clue ... but the best advice is that u should re-install ur firmware or upgrade to a higher one. Make sure u have a 3.10 OE then just 3.10.

go on google and look for the psp RECOVERY file then put that in your game file then go into the recovery menu and click RUN/PSP/GAME/RECOVERY/EBOOT.PBP then it will bring you down to v 1.5 then update it to your game software. .....NOTE..... v3.5 and higher need to use the pandora's battery to hack it back down to v1.5 (unless it's custom) this methode will also unbrick your psp if you can acess the recovery menu
