Will i lose my PSX savedata is i Update from 3.40 OE to 3.71?

I think it's 3.71 me or whatever, but the custom firmware is what i'm reffering to. I need to update because FF7 crashing every 10 minutes is very annoying, and i just want to make sure i don't lose my data :P

Changing your custom firmware will not affect your save games. I updated to 3.52 from 3.40 simply because of FF 7 as well.

copy your save data to your desktop before you upgrade,when upgraded put it back, your save data is in your psp folder in the root of your memory stick..

It will overwrite it when you reformat the memory stick which you have to do to get correct folders on your memory stick!

I upgraded to 3.71 M33-3 from 3.40OE-A and never re-formatted the stick. I havent had any problems with playing games/emulators at all. Other than the folder names does it have any real effect on your PSP?

Not really but you wont have the theme folder will you, unless you created it yourself, have you?

Yeah, I created that one myself. I will just wait until DAX comes out with his 3.80 to re-do my memory card. Seems pointless to mess with it now.
