Wii firmware 3.0U from SMG-->works fine..
==> no duplicate channels problems as of now...

just got the original Jap Wii Fit set....asks for update-->Yes / No (what kind of update is it?)

it says it causes duplicate channels....need some clearing up on that?

don't want duplicate channels or anyways of fixing it aftwerwards..

you need to update to 3.1U before putting in wii fit

it has 3.1J on it

I have jap wii and can confirm this

Update to 3.1U online then insert and update

The only extra channel it gave me on a jap wii was the wii fit channel

Anyways, extra channels are not an issue and if you dont like them, move them to a page where you cant see them

are u sure that ur method does not produce duplicate channels? can they be deleted afterwards?

so update to 3.1U then update with fit? I read that a ntsc-u machines causes duplicate channels, but ntsc-j doesn't

also is the 3.1U update only online cuz i don't have wifi and need to get it from somewhere..
