I need to rip only a small clip off of a DVD

I would greatly appreciate it if someone could show me how to rip only a small section off of a dvd.

What I want to do is capture small clips of different dvd's to use as part of an illustration in some of my lessons.

I need to be able to copy a small 2 to 3 minute section off of a dvd and copy it onto my harddrive in a format that will play in Windows Media Player.

Is there an easy way to do this?

1. Rip the DVD using DVDDecryptor/SmartRipper
2. Open up the IFO with DVDx
3. Set the input settings
4. In the output seetings, set "Volume Dont Exceed" to "Custom Chapter" and select the chapter
5. If you have ripped and AVI, you can clip the chapter down to the desired segment with VDUB, if you ripped an MPEG, use any MPEG Editor (i believe TMPGEnc can do it).
