Hi, this may be a bit of a daft question but i was wondering if anyone knows of a way to trick a 16Mb JoyTech Memory Station into thinking there is an Sony official 8Mb Memory Card connected to it. The reason i ask is because i went and bought the Memory Station thinking it was basically going to work as a mem card without an official mem card, (the site i bought it from didn't specify this).

I had a quick look where you connect the official mem card and it looks like a standard Ps2 mem card port except there is two small pins (similar to what a floppy drive has to recognise disk inserted & write-enabled/protected but smaller and gold). I was hoping maybe, if i find a way to press these two pins in, that it may trick the mem station into working without the official mem card.

Any help you folks could give would be greatly appreciated.

(P.S. the JoyTech has a button that allows you to either use the offical mem card or the mem station).
