Can I use any PC Headset on the 360?

I already have a years worth of live subscription but I don't have a headset, so was just wondering if it is possible to use any regular pc headset and just use an adaptor to plug it into the xbox360 controller. The headset that I have is one with two, regular sized headphone jacks, one for hearing one for speaking. So is the an adaptor that will converge these two plugs into one smaller jack that will fit in the controller and allow me to use it on Live?

No... The PC has a Audio In Mini jack and the jack for the 360 is smaller than the Minijack.. if you find one that will fit in the jack it should work fine... You most likely wont be able to find a headset with that type of connector!

I have a jabra headset that works with the 360, don't use it though because it doesnt have volume control like the actual 360 ones, and I cant be bothered to go into personal settings to change the volume everytime i need to. ;)

What about a USB PC headset (logitech) has anyone been able to get one of those to work successfully on xbox 360?

No, you cant use a usb headset, my jabra headset has an adapter to convert it between the standard pc connections, and the normal small pin that goes into the 360 controller, the usb headset would only work if the 360 had some driver for it, which I really dont think it has.

You can use the original headset if you still own an original xbox. I prefer it over the new head set because it fits right. The only difference is you can not adjust the volume or mute it. You could go to gamestop and purchase a used one for about $5.00. There are tons of them around.The wire is also thicker. Stronger and lesser parts hence less replacing.

A PC headset won't work because there are different jacks, one for the mike and one for the headset, a cell phone headset will work though.
