Hey guys, haven't been in this scene for awhile.

I have a Pandora and Magic Memory stick for Fat PSPs. I need to upgrade the battery so it can mod Fat, Slim, and Lite PSPs.

What do I need to do?

Check out this link for a great mem stick deal:

Thanks for the help!

Thanks to everyone for enlightening me!

keep the battery, but you need a new magic memory stick.

go HERE and download the upms cso. then run it on your psp and follow the steps in order (you can skip the pandora's battery part)

ps2: v7 scph-39001 - independence exploit - hdloader 0.8c - maxtor 300gb hdd
(+[__]%) psp slim ta-085v1: 6.60 PRO B10
wii (powered by bootmii/priiloader): 4.1u - d2x v10beta53-alt (base 56) - configurable usb loader v70r51/devolution r188 - wd scorpio black 7200rpm 320gig w/ ams venus ds2 enclosure

got a whole lot more to list . . .

Thanks a lot, still have a little more I need to know though:

1. What are the abilities of slim or lite CFW (are they the same as fat CFW)?

2. Can you put emulators, ISOs, CSOs, and what not on slim and lites with CFW?

Anything else I should know about slim or lites CFWs in comparison with fat CFWs?

Thanks to everyone for enlightening me!

the slim is almost the same as the fat. main thing is that it doesn't have 1.50 kernel support, but most emulators and homebrew is being coded for the slim.

all iso/cso will still work. you'll get the same battery life as the fat, but if you use a fat battery, you get even longer battery life, especially with the stamina 2200mah battery. you'll need the replacement battery covers to use the fat battery.

So I should use this guide here:
http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/580254

Should I format my Magic Memory Stick and replace it with the UPMS files?

Or can I simply add the UPMS files to my Magic Mem Stick?

Thanks to everyone for enlightening me!

i'd recommend to upgrade to u.p.m.s. it's way more convient. takes a while to create, but worth it.

So I should format my magic mem stick and turn it into a UPMS mem stick? I assume yes

What # CFW is needed to play FF7 Crisis Core?

All the steps in the guide (1-4, I skip 2 cuz I alrdy have a pandora battery and skip 4 because I will do 3) only deal with writing stuff to the memory stick and nothing else right? I hope

Does my pandora battery need to be in my PSP while running UPMS?

Where can I find the 1.5 Kernel Patch? http://dark-alex.org/

Where do I run the updates (M33-5, etc.) from? I think its the recovery menu

My goal here is to change the mem stick while leaving the pandora battery alone so I can downgrade all Fat and Slim PSPs.

Thanks to everyone for enlightening me!

Is there a way to make a 4 disc PSX game into 1 simple eboot file?

I followed the guide and I am on the 3rd step. It says it is looking for an UPDATE.PBP that wasn't mentioned in the guide, what do I need to do? I found the answer, I exited the installer and now the memory stick can't be read

ADD THAT PART TO THE GUIDE PLEASE!

OMG NOW I AM IN TROUBLE, IT IS SAYING NO MEMORY STICK INSERTED!

WHAT DO I DO?

GOD DAM IT!

Thanks to everyone for enlightening me!

help me please!

EDIT
Luckily I was able to format it in a new slim. Add the step that u need to add the UPDATE.PBP to the guide please.

EDIT2
So I went through the guide and everything installed. But as soon as I exited the installer again, the memory stick is failing to be read, is that how its supposed to work?

EDIT3
Well I backuped all of my Magic Memory Stick files but it doesn't work like it used to. So I will have to go through that trouble again.

I'm going to try the UMPS on a 1GB stick now (my old one was 128MB). It works on the 1GB Mem Stick.

Thanks to everyone for enlightening me!

Everything went fine with the 1GB Mem Stick.

Was able to mod 1 FAT and 1 Slim PSP to 3.90 M33-2 each.

Thanks to everyone for enlightening me!
