Just wanted to know alot more opinions on the board about the Memorex brand for burning media.

I have heard many many people bash Memorex for burning media. I will definitly take defense in this and do claim Memorex as one of the best source for CD-R's, DVD-R's and DVD+R's. I haven't tried their DVD+R RW's or DL's yet though so i can't say. I have had many problems with Sony discs, Maxell and a couple others. I keep hearing so much praise for sony discs when they really are the WORST type out there (at least in my opinion. I have heard much praise towards Verbatim as well, and I have used some as well and can say they are my second best choice no doubt.

I have 80+ backup DVD-R and DVD+R's for Xbox, PS2 and my PC. They all work perfectly, why you ask? Because they were all burnt on Memorex discs. They also come as a cheap affordable price.

Just wanted to get more opinions on the matter.

Well I have to say I agree with the majority that memorex does suck. Verbatim and Sony is my brand of choice. I use to use memorex disc until I realized that although they burn fine and play fine the first time, they don't hold up over time. This is from my experience with over 1,000 movies, 200 plus games, and 100 plus pc data disc. For pc use memorex is fine since it's not so picky but for dvd movies and ps2 games memorex is a definite no no.
