Hello,

I am trying to get some clips off a dvd without having to dump the whole thing to my harddrive. (like a vob virutaldub) I don't need the sound in the clip either.

Max dvd to avi is handy for this because it enables you to select a start and stop point for ripping.

I have converted from the vob file to Indeo, Divx, Huffyuv, MS Video 1 and uncompressed video codecs.

The outcome is always the same. The video is a bit choppy. It's not terrible but it's still very annoying. The sound is fine, it's just the video.

It seems that the uncompressed video is the most choppy and indeo is the least choppy. However, I want the clips in uncompressed if possible.

Any tips?
