I am trying to connect my 360 and media center pc and keep geeting a cannot connect error.
My 360 is hardwired to a belkin wireless router and my media center pc is connected wirelessly. I have windows xp, and I am running norton 2007(I hate norton) and have gone through the firewall setup instructions on xbox.com. I am able to connect the two via windows media player and it works fine but when I run the media center extender setup I get a cannot connect message after the setup key is confirmed. I also get the downloading message from the xbox.
I have tried to run the setup with my firewall off and still get the same error.

I can't seem to find any answers anywhere. Anybody have any ideas?

I have the same problem, I called MS like 3 times (including a supervisor) about it and they are clueless. You might want to call them because I have Vista and they said they were not trained on that. Maybe they can help with your XP.
