hi i was reading this thread http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/356071 that was about slow encoding in DVD shink 3.2 and i fixed my probelm and would like to share with you the two things i did

1. i installed all of the drivers that came with my motherboard
and
2. i used this website which reset all my drives to dma

prior to this i was getting encoding times of an hour and 20 min now they are down to 5 min.

i hope this helps someone and please not i did both of these at the same time so im not sure which one fixed it but both are worth a shot
