is it normall that i did the wiikey update without having to use file chop or anything like that i downloaded the small file under 10 mb put it ona dvd and it worked on my wii jsut wondering whether it has worked.

if it worked ok and updated properly then dont worry

reason some people have to use filechop is that some dvd writers cannot cope with writing such a small file to the dvd and therefore filechop pads it out to a larger size so it can do so

The Wiikey's firmware is upgradable. Therefore, if it makes you happy, go ahead and set a World Record for the number of times one can run a Wiikey update successfully!

By the way, sometimes it's the burning software that adds to the small image so that the DVD is burnt in High Compatibility Mode therefore making up for the lack of filechopping.
