my ps2 keeps making weird noises like it's squealing non stop what the problem

If it is making noises then the gears inside the cd/dvd drive need to greased, this solved my clicking noise in my ps2. You probably only need to grease the worm gear, which is what the motor rotates in order to make the laser move back or forward. You might also want to try to bend down the plastic piece which is attached to the laser, so it can have a tighter ride with the worm gear.

can you tell me how to grease the cd/disc or what it was, and yes it happens when there is a disc in there
