I put a wiikey in my console and a friends, the setup disc works in mine fine, and I was able to turn on my region override, but when I try to do it to my friends I get a disc read error. Im using the same disc that worked in mine, so what could be the problem?

Re-burn the disc .. maybe in GCOS mode ... try downloading the file form a different source ...
Inexplicably, it appears that different Wii prefer different files. Why? ... who knows!
my theory is that the Wii is a 'delicate' system, especially in ites optics.

ok, Ive tried 1.2 and 1.3 wiikey setup discs, neither worked, as for getting the files from a different source I wouldnt no where to look. and one more thing, how do I burn in gcos mode? thanks
