When i make a VCD i sometimes have a black and white picture and sometimes a color picture. And both original files where in color. Can somebody help me?

Does this happen only when you play them with stand-alone DVD player or does it happen also when you play them with Media Player?

Even my setup menu is in black and white then. And when i get the cd out of the dvd-player the menu stays in black and white. Untill i put in a vcd that i know it shows in color the menu is in color again. I think it's propertie of the dvd-player, but don't know what. And can it be changed?

Simple answer: your DVD player doesn't support other TV formats -- if you have PAL (=you live in Europe, Australia, etc) player I assume your VCDs that show b/w are in NTSC (U.S. system).

Okay thanks, not the answer i was hoping for. I saw on some sites that this dvd player supported almost every vcd.

Easiest solution would be to buy a TV set that supports both NTSC and PAL instead to beating the crap out of your DVD player -- 100% of new widescreen TVs support both formats (in Europe anyway).
