Sync problem using Ulead MovieFactory

I recorded a TV movie and used Ulead DVD MovieFactory 5 SE to convert it to create an iso image. The original file was MPEG2 video and MPEG-1 Layer 2 audio. I burned the iso image with Img Burn and it played fine on my computer and on my old Apex DVD player but when I put the DVD in my Sony DVD player which has progressive scan, the sync was off horribly. Can anyone shed any light on why this might happen and what I can do to create something that will play on both of my stand alone DVD players? Any help would be appreciated.
