Hello,
I am new to flashing, (i have chipped PS2's Wii's Xboxes).
I want to be able to mod all Xbox360 DvD drives.
I have read much information about what i need to flash, but i still have some questions:

When i buy the Xecuter 360 Connectivity Kit do i still need a Sata PCI card?

Do I only need a SATA card?
Do I only need a Connectivity Kit?
Or do i need both.

As for the Xecuter 360 Connectivity Kit:No you dont need one,just some people like to use that. You can flash it w/just the SATA card. You do defintily need the SATA card because you need to use that so you can connect it to the computer. Then the computer has to regonize it when you but it in MODE B so you are able to send the flash to the drive. Hope this helps.

I managed to flash my drive without a SATA card.

I have Hitachi 0078fk 360-drive, and an ASUS A8N-SLI mainboard.

Just hooked the 360-drive directly to my motherboard and booted up in SLAX 2.0 alpha-1.

Oh well if you had a motherboard that had that you didnt need the SATA card. I thought it was like most people that dont had that motherboard and need the card.Glad to hear you made it work.
