i'm using shrink to backup onto 1 dvd-r, but with long movies (approx 3hrs), the compression is too much. can shrink backup onto 2 dvd's? is there another free app, or can nero 6 do it?

Yes, shrink can do it, but u have to re-author after the first disc.

I backed up both LOTR movies onto one dvdr each, and they are 3 hour flicks. I used DVD2One and the quality is very good on my 36" tv. However, I've heard that if u have a huge tv, like a 65 inch bigscreen, you'll see compression flaws.

so if title 1 is 3hrs, you just have to do the start/end selection on the 1st half and then continue this with the 'start' feature where you left off in the 1st disc?
