Just in case? I mean, say I am in UK and I have PAL game, shall I patch it anyways withs Wii Brick Blocker just in case? Or are there any side effects or anything, like lagging the game if you patch it?

Thanks

But why not to? It only takes like 30 seconds, and its a feature which is best to have than not to have right? Thats why I asked if there are any other effects >.<

Oh right, sorry, didnt see that part. It stops a few gmes working, can you direct me to a page of those non-working games with WBB? Or if not, then I guess I just wont use it. You see, I dont want to brick my Wii after so soon of getting it :P

"its usually ones that run through an update "

But isnt WBB meant to be for these games?

wbb is to prevent the games with updates from trying to update your wii

however

some games will not work unless they are allowed to update or at least go through the motions
thats why i prefer just to keep fully updated - that way they can attempt to update the wii- if ur fully upto date the game cannot install a lesser version firmware so it just goes through the motions without changing anything

You say that WBB will not work with games that usually run through an update. But the purpose of the WBB is to get rid of these updates from these games, so I dont understand what you're saying :P

And secondly, if my Wii is fully up to date, and the game is say...NTSC, would it convert my Wii to NTSC latest version when it asks for an update? Or would it just stay the same?

ok this is the last reply i will make as i feel i have been clear enough
most games that have updates on them will work once u have patched them with WBB
HOWEVER some games with updates on the discs will not work when they have been patched due to the fact they need to go through the motions of an update

it would stay the same- it can ONLY update if the firmware on the disc is HIGHER than what your wii is at
HOWEVER this does not mean that things in life always stay the same

nintendo could easily release an update to screw us all royally
so make ur own mind up based on peoples experiences here and do not hold them responsible should if at a later date, your wii go pearshaped

Well, obviously, since WBB is used to patch "update games". I asked for links to specific games of the "update games", but you told me that WBB affects "usually ones that run through an update", which is obvious, and is explained with my prior statement.

Anyways thanks for the help, I am grateful :D

This is the part I was unsure about, as WBB is meant to be installed on update games (obviously). The other posts were fine. NO need to get so offensive :P
