I have recently opened up my wii and the chip inside said that I had a G2c or GC2 -D1A Wii. Can someone tell me what this means and what modchips can be used on it? thanks.

the question means you should read the stickies more.


other than that, you can get any chip you want save the D2CKey and Argon for obvious reasons.

Actually, I just found the paper with the data I recorded on it and the chip says: GC2-D1A
740P72CE
I had went on some sites and they said that the GC2-D1A chipset is unmoddable. is this true?

Look at the chip next to it.... Im going to assume its a G2C-D2C... That D1A is not a chip to identify your Wii by so to speak.
