When I start up my ps2 with hd advanced in my drive, i get to the hd advanced screen but then it freezes, I use to be able to goto the menu where it showed all my games, and it doesnt even give me a message saying my hdd is screwed up or anything it just freezes, i cleaned off my lens, idk what to do

Take your hard drive out, and use WinHIIP to do a SCAN/REPAIR (then SAVE).

I've got a 200gig Maxtor in my PS2, and when I got down to about 8 gigs free, I started having the same issue and WinHIIP fixed everything.

I tried that, i brought it to my friends house and it worked their, so its not my hard drive or disk, something wrong withmy ps2, anyone got suggestions?
