Sony Electronics is showing off an affordable Blu-ray drive for PCs that the company claims can turn almost any modern Desktop into a Blu-ray-driven home entertainment center. When it's half that price, is also a writer and blank BD media is under a dollar, then I'll be impressed.

I'm a patient individual and I won't be buying it soon at that price. I spend most of my money on gasoline and food. When the price is right, I'll buy it.

I am not as picky as erjl. However, if you make this drive a Blu-Ray burner at that price and drop the media down to about $5.00 per disc, then I will buy into Blu-Ray.

Currently a good price for a Blu-Ray player if you plan on watching your Blu-Ray discs on your PC or you have a media center.

I can't see paying that price for one that doesn't burn. Nope, 'fraid not.

I feel the price is reasonable however when are we going to get to see a reasonable blu-ray burner not just ROM.
