After some studying and waitting, I am finally ready to install my D2CKey. But I have a question about the region override option for this chip.

I have a USA NTSC WII. As I understand, I should close the jumper JP1 of the chip so I can pay game from other region, Right?

Is there any advantage of close it or not to close it? How can I play games from other region if I do not close it?

After learning the hard way, it is just better to close the jumper for your region. The creators identified wire "L" and the region override jumpers as optional but when we decided to try it without these options the Wii would not play back originals (but would work for backups).

I have not resived my d2ckey yet its on its way. Will it come with instructions on how to do the jummpers? I have a USA wii (I guess) bought it at Best Buy. Did many hrs of research, So if you connect the "L" wire you turn NTSC region on?

Isn't it better to keep D2CKey configured to the original console region only to prevent accidental bricking?
