Hard mod any psp battery ???

Heres my question i have succesfully hard modded my psp slims battery. I know i can do a 3.6v 1200 slim . But now my cousin a few states over wants to hardmod one he is goign to buy from ebay . Can almost any of the batteries be hardmodded. Or is there certain issues. I know there are fakes out ther but does that make a diffrence in the hardmod ?

yes it makes....the fake battery can not be hardmodded
