Is there a Action replay softmode to play backups for the Wii? I know GC had a softmod to play backups.

I found this click on link

Note that is states "You can also use a GCOS Multigame disc to boot original and backup imports by swapping discs before you choose "Boot DVD" in the menu."

Is this the softmod to play GC backups? If so can this method play Wii backups?
