Well, after installing 5 units in a row with no problems, I ran into one today. After installing a chipmod 2.0 in a V9 system (with the laser save mod), I get a black screen on boot up. This means it must be the ground or power connections? I have yet to take the chip out because...frankly it will be a pain in the ass rewiring it again.

Check to see if there are any bridged connections. Especially on pins soldered to the bios.
Turns out while soldering the wires to the chip itself, one got too hot and melted into the other causing a short. Just re-soldered them and the chip works. Good advice tho lil g!
