The Box PVR Hard drive problems

I have The Box PVR, firmware is running at 4.50. I have no problems with the channels (all work fine) but I have installed a hard drive and have a problem with that.

The hard drive installed is a Hitachi HDT725032VLAT80 320 gig from PC world. It formatted ok but when I record it seems to playback for about half an hour then freeze. I have set the drive as a master but there was an option refering to 16 cylinders on the rear of the hard drive, could this be the jumper setting required?
