Torrents don't work for me.

I am receiving a Wiikey, and I am currently trying to get the ISO files I need.
However, torrents (at the max) download at 1 KB/sec, purely because my port is blocked, and for a lot of reasons, that cannot change.
Is there any way I can download a .RAR file with all that I need instead of a .Torrent file?
And can someone explain what the dangers of forwarding a port for torrents are?
I share this computer with someone, and I can't forward a port without everyone's permission.

by the way torrents are pretty bad uless u can get into a private site with private trackers - i prefer newsgroups and would suggest that to you
