DVDShrink and Nero8 compatible??

I recently purchased Nero8 and downloaded DVD Shrink for my laptop but Shrink keeps showing "to enable burning,please install nero". its installed. i see the spot in shrink properties to enable burning with nero, its checked. to no avail. havent had any problems on my pc. i have vista on my laptop and xp on my pc. does that make a difference?? thanks for any help.
