It would be easier if you knew which mod you had. Try holding the reset button down until the blue eject light comes on. Make sure the disc is already in the tray and the tray is closed when you do this.
PS2 - v8
Mod - Magic V
Burner - CenDyne (Pioneer) DVR-A05
Media - Anything Cheap
Gamecube w/Broadband Adapter
Phantasy Star Online
Animal Crossing Loader v1.4
Phantasy Star Uploader v1.1
Gamecube ISO Ripping Server v1.0.0.29

Ice monkey is right, try his method. That is the most common one. If you have a DMS3 however you have to hold down the "o" button boot psx games.

zhenk, it would be easier to answer your question if you tell us what mod chip u have because different chips have different booting method.

Where did you get the modded PS2 from? If you ordered it or bought it from someone, you should know exactly what chip you bought. I dont know of anyone that bought a modded PS2 system that don't know what kind of chip is inside. Thats like buying a computer and not knowing what kind of hardware is installed.
