I am still new to this so please try to be patient with me. I have tried searching for this question to no avail.I am sure someone has posted already. The person I bought this swap magic 3 plus disk from told me that a lot of people were having problems with this new disk.
I had no problems with the old swap magic 3 disk but the new version simply won't work on my ps2 model 39001. The cd will work but not the dvd version. It won't read it! Like I said , it would read the older (blue disk) which I would gladly buy if I could. Can anyone explain this? I have tried using the cd disk to boot dvds.
(you know, insert larger disk and then swap) and it does work on about 1 out of 5 games , but it has to be a small game. I would like to know why swap magic would discontinue something that worked for something that doesn't. I have a brand new 3plus disk here and can't use it. I would like to mention something else here that I don't understand. The older (blue disk) would work fine when it was new, but would continuly get harder to boot as you used it wheather it was scratched or not, and would get to a point to where it would stop working, even after being resurfaced would not boot! Does this have to do with being pressed together or what? I am only talking about a months use too! Makes you think they booby trap them to make you buy a new one every month! If anyone can lend some info here I would appreciate it! John
