What exactly are you doing? What is your project? With so little info, people that want to help are left guessing...Are you ripping with Shrink? Are you transcoding? What did you use for dcryption/ripping?

Exactly what cyprus said, without the proper info about what you are trying to do exactly, there is no real way for anyone on here to help you.
What movie are you trying to back up and what programs are you using in order to do so?

Yeah no kidding!! Next time I have that problem, I'm going to refer to this thread to get my answer (considering the amount of detail that was put into it)!!

Creaky, Creaky...should get with the trend, get ESP Mobile!
@RisEarl,
The reason why we are making so much noise about this is that it would be nice if we could use this thread as a learning experience for other readers. Even if is something ridiculous, like "Duhh, I put the disc in my burner with the wrong face down, that's why my burner doesn't recognize the media", or "I tried to burn the DVD on a floppy disk", or, "Ahh, I forgot a piece of toast in my burner, that's why the disc didn't fit", whatever, it would still be a learning experience, people would learn if you'd care to elaborate about the way you solved your problem.
However, even without you elaborating, is still a learning experience, maybe other memebers will learn how not to post.

I highly doubt that RisEarl is even reading this anymore.

Interesting reply from RisEarl.
I usually don't use DVDFab Platinum as my first choice for backups. However, if anything at all seems amiss, my next step is to do three things: clean the DVD, use another DVD-ROM/DVD-writer to read, and, use DVDFab Platinum (in conjunction with FixVts and Shrink depending on Title) to rip/encode. I've found 99% of the time these 3 solve the problem - I'm pragmatic and don't really care which of the 3 things did the trick, just that the title's backed up with the least effort.
