After following this guide:

http://www.doom9.org/mpg/svcd2dvdr.htm#datskipt

I ran into an error when trying to merge my mpeg files. It tried to rewrite the SVCD header, and gave me this error message:

"Stream reading error."

If anyone can solve this little riddle, I'll be very thankful. :)
