Hi,

I am trying to use windows media encoder 9 to stream what i see on my monitor directly to a TV. It streams fine, except the problem is that what is shown on the tv is a good 45 seconds behind what has happened on my computer. I think the reason behind this is that before xbmc opens the stream, it says 'caching' for about 45s which causes the huge delay. I expect a small delay due to the encoding, decoding and sending over the network (100mbps wired) but not 45 seconds! I have turned off caching in video settings on xbmc for every single option and i have set the buffering on windows media encoder to 1s. The delay is the same whether i am encoding at 2000kbps or 200kbps!

Your help would be appreciated!
Cheers phil
