I want to copy one of my DVD's and I am assuming it has copyright protection. I looked around and I found a program called AnyDVD which is supposed to remove any Copyrights or Bad sectors before backing up and burning the movie to a blank DVD. Does this program work with DVD Shrink? Or could someone recommend something better for removing copyrights from DVD's?
Thanks!

I'm sure this thread will be closed SOON.
Take a look around the site and you will find what you need. This whole forum is about what you started a single thread for.
For the record as well, be a little more specific so that we can help you. When you just say "one of my dvd's" that is too vague and really doesn't help us help you.
Like I said, you should take a look around the forum, I'm sure that you will find what you are looking for.
Cheers!

311814175, Not sure why you spent time responding if you only had smart remarks. I thought my question was pretty simple, sorry about that. I'll try better next time.
In all seriousness tho, cyprusrom thanks for the thread. I'll take a look.

That method is almost infallible. DVDFab HD Decrypter is very often updated. It also has the option to rip movie only(that is my preference) if you wish so. If you have Nero for example, DVD Shrink can be replaced by Nero Recode. Not all the titles require the use of FixVts,but is such a simple operation, and won't hurt if you do use it.

Why are you sorry? There is no reason to be. You had a question and you asked it, there is no reason to be sorry.
All I was saying is that if you are a little more specific about the dvd that you are trying to back up, there is a better chance that someone here will be able to help you come to a solution quicker.
I took the time to respond because I wanted to HELP YOU solve your problem, because certain dvd's have tougher encryption than others. SO by me asking what dvd you were trying to back up, was more so to help you out and point you in the right direction for the quickest possible solution.
By no means did I respond to be smarta** or belittle you or ridicule your question/concern. If I felt the need to do that, I would have come out and straight up told you, and you would have known that I was being rude (but that's just me).
The only reason that I said this thread would be closed soon is because I've seen threads like this get closed ( for numerous reasons... usually because there is another thread somewhere on the site that covers the same material, sometimes the threads don't get closed and there is no resolution at all). Without proper information, it makes it more difficult for us to help you out. ; )

The dvdshrink forum is all about backing up dvd's and that's why I said take a look around... chances are you may have stumbled onto your answer...
Re-reading my post, I don't see how I was being a smarta**, but I suppose that it's easy to think someone is being sarcastic/misread what they are trying to say opposed to hearing them say it with their tone of voice.
I've been in your position before, and that's why I chose to respond to you, because I wanted to help you out. That's why this forum is here.
For the record Nightfawl, I apologize if you thought that I was being rude (intentionally or unintentionally) in any way shape or form.
(sigh) ???

I don't know how I helped through this whole process, but for what it's worth, you are welcome. ; )

I'm honestly STILL curious about that... but I feel I have done all that I can do with this one creaky...
If I HAD to guess what movie (and that's what I'm doing considering such little info and that fact I don't know this person)... I would say that it may be an adult feature? Maybe that's why we still don't know? Embarrassed maybe? LOL
I'm not passing judgement or making assumptions... just that if I HAD to guess... that's the direction I'm pointed in based on the information.

C'mon, some people might be working, takes a while to get home and jump on the net.
As for adult films, why be embarassed? Anyone want to trade, I'd be happy to share my collection:~)!

Oh no doubt... I have no question that they are busy (wherever it is) and not online.
I'm sure this is a case of me being impatient and wanting to know what it is so bad that I said I'm giving up... until I hear what disc it is I'm not going to be saying any more about it (but now look at me rant and rave now... lol)
That's also why I said if I HAD to guess... not that I am assuming anything (as far as the title... just that I'm left with my imagination. I know some people who are embarrassed about porn... and that's the only reason I said that.
OK ENOUGH OUT OF ME.

..in which case this thread is due for closure shortly as it's been answered (the same answers you've been given above apply to virtually every movie out there, the only time anything differs is when there's a brand new movie out that's genuinely difficault to backup due to new encryptions - that's rare though, DVDFab and AnyDVD can do them all so far; at worst the DVDFab and AnyDVD guys need to program updates for those new encryptions if and when they crop up)
(this is a cracking movie btw).
Anyways, here's some more info in case it helps -
