Are you saying it takes 10 minutes to rip the disc or burn the disc? Ten minutes isn't a very long time. : )

When you import a movie with Shrink or Recode,before any authoring/transcoding, first they analyze the structure . Usually it takes about 1 minute.

LOL! I call that a brain fart, and I know how you feel friend! I bet this is not the first thread that you read today here on AD. After a couple dozens, much of the info gets scrambled, the eyes skip over the message faster than the brain can process...:~)!

What do you mean is not working? You cannot set the DMA on or is on and doesn't change anything?
Well, if your DMA is on, when is the last time you ran a virus/adware/spyware/crapware scan?

yeah, its not changing anything. I've set the DMA on, i've run spyware, restarted my computer, checked to see if the DMA is still checked and still nothing, encoding takes all day, can't figure out what is wrong with it.

Did you try reinstalling DVD Shrink? What movie are you trying to backup? Is it a new one that maybe wasn't completely cleaned after you ripped it-run it through FixVts ot Vobblanker? What program did you use to decrypt?

@haugse23
If you let us know what movie it is and the software that you used to rip the disc to your HD, there is a greater chance that we will be able to get to the bottom of this. ; )
Cheers!

i just used dvdshrink to analyze and encode and then use roxio to burn, i burned transformers, and knocked up and they burned fine, i remember doing this on windows xp and when i had this problem i just went into the device manager, uninstalled one of the channels, restarted the computer, and everything went back to normal, i don't understand why i can't do this same thing with vista
