I recently put DVDShrink 3.2 and 123 DVD Copy Gold on my fiancees computer since mine went down. I've used this combo with little problem on my cpu for about a year.

I'm havin a problem on hers though. DVDShrink seems like its working fine. But when I go to burn the movie, it says "initializing" forever, then doesnt burn. I tired differant software, and it said theres no video files to burn. When I open the video folder on my desktop, all the files are there..but when I open it in the burning software, theres nothing there.

Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this? I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling both, saving to differant locatons..nothihng so far. Im really not that cpu savvy to have tried anything to technical yet.

You need to change your software.
Here is a guide for you, all free software.DVD Shrink is not updated anymore, can't decrypt the new realeases.
You need DVDFab HD Decrypter, Shrink and ImgBurn. If you want to shed some cash, you can buy AnyDVD for about $75 or so, othrewise, this is all you need, plus quality discs, like Verbatim or Sony. If you shop online, get Taiyo Yuden.

How were you using the combination of Dvd shrink and 123 dvd copy gold?

Dvd shrink has no burn engine. You can use Copytodvd,Nero,Dvd decrypter, and ImgBurn. I'm guessing your old pc had nero on it,so dvd shrink had no trouble pulling it out to do the burning. It could have also had copytodvd. It came with some of my free trial programs and stayed while the rest of the programs got deleted. If you can check your old pc for either of those.

Dvd shrink's default setting it set to use nero to do the burning. Click dvd shrink/edit/preferences/FileIO.Tick it for nero. Untick it to burn with something else.

Myself,I use dvd shrink to do the ripping and compressing. Then nero takes over automatically when it's time for the burn. Lots of people get fooled thinking that a certain program is burning or dvd shrink has a burn engine because it's the only program they open up. I'll also activate anydvd in the background,so I got 3 programs running:Nero6/anydvd/and nero6/but only go through dvd shrink for the backup-so it's like a 1 program process.
