how do i change to custom firmware without buying anything?

first of all we need some more info like system version and is it slim or phat
but a way that you can for sure get to custom firmware(cfw) is a pandora's battery you will need another psp with cfw to make or you could get something like this

it's a slim. and i believe i may have created a pandora battery. by lifting a certain pin on the motherboard. what do i do now?
