Firstly, please excuse my Xbox ignorance. Also, if I have missed this qu & a elsewhere in the forum, I apologise. I've had a look and can't find an answer.

I'm a nanna, and had my grandchildren over for the weekend. They played a hired game on their 25yo uncle's Xbox, with no problems. Now my son has reloaded one of his games to play, and gets the following message: INVALID GAME REGION. MAKE SURE THE DISC IS AN XBOX GAME. REMOVE THE DISC TO CONTINUE. We have removed and replaced and removed and replaced, and removed and changed, and all we get now with all discs is the same message.

What have I done???

PS - should say that unit is chipped - he mostly plays NTSC games we bought from the US (baseball!!!) but also plays local PAL games. I have just checked the unit again, and PAL games are working, but all his imported (NTSC) games are not.

He has often interspersed PAL with NTSC. How can the grandies playing MATRIX on Saturday have caused this problem?
