Hey guys, I just noticed something that pissed me off today and was wondering if there's a simple fix or should I ditch the software I've been using for years. I have Windows Vista with WMP11 and MPC with XviD and DivX and ffdshow codecs installed. When I play any movie, turns out I get substantially better quality with Windows Media Player compared to Media Player Classic. I've tried going through every last setting in MPC and it's still bad. Basically, I think Anti-Aliasing is turned off causing sharp edges and lines to appear pixelated and the general picture quality is bad. Here is an example of the title menu for Sin City, 100% scale and cropped - Windows Media Player and Media Player Classic. As you can see, the difference is HUGE.

So I was wondering is it because MPC aims to be lightweight and they sacrifice quality, or is it something I am missing? What are the best codecs to use? I used to have K-Lite Codec pack, but I think the Xvid and Divx stand alone codecs have better quality. Any thoughts and ideas?
